ABOUT

"The young lady with striking features and a voice that can melt steel..."                           - G.K. Hizer

From the bayous of southwest Louisiana to the vibrant streets of New Orleans, Olivia Duhon carries the soul of the South in every note she sings. A daughter of Cajun heritage, her voice is steeped in the rhythm of slow-dancing summer nights and the echoes of a timeless jazz tradition.

Her journey led her north to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she honed her craft and found her voice—velvety, commanding, and unmistakably her own. It was there that renowned music critic Gary Hizer first described her as “the young lady with striking features and a voice that can melt steel.” That unforgettable voice quickly earned her a place in the city’s jazz legacy, culminating in her 2009 induction into the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame with the Wayman Tisdale Legacy Tribute Award.

Olivia’s artistry transcends era and expectation. With each performance, she bridges past and present, channeling the classic elegance of jazz while weaving in threads of soul, pop, and blues. Her voice—warm as a vinyl record and just as enduring—draws in listeners of every generation.

Now back home in New Orleans, Olivia continues to evolve, creating music that feels both rooted and boundless. Whether on stage or in the studio, she sings with the heart of her ancestors and the fire of an artist always becoming.
